Overview
What this unit does
The Sustainable Packaging unit develops packaging that reduces environmental impact without giving up the barrier, machinability, and print quality customers expect. It works across the group's other units, specifying films, structures, and formats that are easier to recycle or use less material in the first place.
The main routes are recyclable mono-material structures, where PE-only or PP-only laminates replace mixed-material packs; kraft paper pouches and bread bags that bring a natural look and paper-based recyclability; and down-gauged designs that cut film weight while keeping seal strength and shelf life.
Each project starts with the product's real protection needs and the customer's collection and recycling context, so the outcome is a pack that performs on the line and has a credible end-of-life story.
