What this unit does
The Plastic Films unit makes the substrates the rest of the group prints and converts. High-speed extrusion lines produce mono and multi-layer PE films with layer structures tailored for barrier, stiffness, and seal performance, from lamination films to form-fill-seal roll stock.
Alongside extrusion, the unit runs vacuum metallizing and holographic origination. Pak Packages is the industry's leading producer of highly technical metallized film, and Pak-Met integrates flexo printing into the metallizer to print high-resolution graphics in metal at up to 400 m/min, with stripe and selective metallization for windows and in-register effects.
Holographic films, metallized or transparent, on PET, BOPP, and PVC give brands a strong anti-counterfeiting layer and premium shelf visibility.
